THRIFT SHOP is a template that will help you mock up your t-shirt graphics and make them look as if they are printed on a vintage washed & worn tee.

Because the textures are very subtle, the primary use is not for production printing. If you need textures for printing real t-shirts, have a look a the PLASTISOL COLLECTION of textures. (Included with T-Shirt Design Master Collection).

Instructions

1) Open your Layers Panel. (Window > Layers)

2) Turn on the visibility of ONE of the FABRIC PANELS. Keep the others invisible.

3) Highlight your visible FABRIC PANEL LAYER by clicking on it. Make a “Levels Adjustment” to increase or decrease the lighting & shadow contrast of the Fabric Overlays. (Image > Adjustments > Levels)

4) For colored and darker shirts, you can move the Leftmost Level slider to the right until you get the right amount of darkness in the shading.

You can also move the Rightmost Level slider until you get the right amount of brightness in the highlights.

Adjust the sliders to where the contrast looks good to your eye. There’s no right or wrong answer here. If the shirt looks dirty or dull, increase the brightness of the highlights by moving the Rightmost Level slider to the left.
