Instructions

MAIN TEMPLATE

1) Open your Layers Panel. (Window > Layers)

2) Double Click on thumbnail image. A separate Smart Object file will open.

SMART OBJECT

3) Hide this layer.

4) Paste your art anywhere into this Smart Object file.

5) Save your Smart Object file. Close it. Then go back to the original Time Machine Automator Photoshop file. Texture and effects will be applied to your design. You can browse the texture options inside that file to pick the best texture for your design.

6) Click the dropdown arrow to view your texture choices.

7) Now for the fun part! Turn on and off the visibility of the various texture layers to apply knock-through texture to your design. The finer textures will work better with detailed art. The heavier textures will work better with less-detailed art. You can turn the visibility of multiple textures at the same time if you prefer more texture.

8) Optional background color. Click the color thumbnail to change your background color. If you are saving your file as a transparent PNG, you can simply turn off the visibility of this layer.
